The first thing you need to do is post a story on your Instagram profile. You can record a new video, take a photo or choose one of the existing multimedia in your gallery. Customize by adding text, emojis, stickers and effects using Instagram editing tools. When you're done editing, publish the story.

After it is published, open it again on Instagram. You will see three small dots at the bottom right from the screen. Click on those three dots to open a menu of options.

In the menu that will open, choose the option «Save» or «Save Photo/Video». This will download a copy of your Instagram story to your phone's photo gallery.

Now open the WhatsApp application and go to the “Status” tab. Share the story you just saved from here.

Tap the “Camera” icon or the “+”, depending on your version of WhatsApp. This will take you to your phone's photo gallery. Select the Instagram story you have saved.

If you saved a video, WhatsApp will ask you if you want to include the sound. Choose your preferences and, finally, click "Submit" to Share the story with all your WhatsApp contacts.

Option 2: Share the link of Instagram stories in WhatsApp statuses

First of all, open the Story on Instagram. Next, look for the arrow icon and tap on it to enable other options. Among these, the WhatsApp icon will appear. Click on this icon that will take you to the app. There you can share your story or stories in your WhatsApp statuses.

When you are on your Instagram story, you can also touch the three dots that appear at the bottom right of the screen. Several options will appear, you can choose copy the link of the story by pressing "Copy Link" or share it directly by choosing the WhatsApp app (or any other).

If you copied the link, open it in WhatsApp and paste it in the text entry field. Then choose if you want to share it in your Status or send it to a specific contact.

If you have chosen the option to share directly from Instagram, WhatsApp will open. Choose what you want Share it in your Status and finish sending the story.

These are two very different methods to share your Instagram stories in your WhatsApp statuses, but both serve to make your stories visible to all your friends on this instant messaging app. The second option is even faster, since you don't need to save the history locally.

Instagram also leaves Share the stories on other social networks like Facebook, saving and publishing them in a similar way.
