The theoretical exam is only the first stage of the sometimes quite complex process of obtaining the driving license. After weeks of studies and tests, the moment of truth arrives. If all goes well, after passing this test there will still be the other half: the practical exam. But in between there is a wait to know the results that can be very long. At this point, many students wonder: How do I know if I have passed the theory? Here we have the answers.
Until relatively recently, this waiting did not exist. Just after finishing the exam, the student was informed of the result. You had to wait, at most, an hour to find out if it had been approved or suspended. Things have changed and the DGT (General Directorate of Traffic) makes the suspense last a little longer. A wait that keeps examinees on edge.
On the other hand, the DGT itself has been working for years to centralize all procedures through its electronic headquarters. Like almost all administrations, the idea is that all procedures can be managed remotely, without the physical presence of the interested party being necessary. This is, in principle, a great step forward: everything is more comfortable and agile, and queues and displacements are also avoided.

The solution that Traffic has thought of is the MiDGT application, which was launched in 2021 and already has almost two million downloads in Spain. Precisely this application is going to be very useful for answering the question "how to know if I have passed the theory", although its functions are much more varied and interesting.
There are many things we can do if we decide download the MiDGT application on our mobile phone: download the driving license to have it available without having to carry it in your wallet, request reports on a vehicle, pay fees...
We can also check the results of our exams, theoretical and practical. For this, it will be enough to access the application. On the main page we will see a text where you can read: «If you are an applicant examined by the DGT and you want to consult only the note of your exam, access from here». Pressing the link shows another screen where you have to enter your ID number and your date of birth.
