Installing the PowerUtil shortcut on the iPad and looking for the file that reveals the information
It is time to start looking for the file that contains all the information that we are looking for regarding the health of the iPad battery. To do this, we will have to know if we have iPadOS 16 or earlier installed. In the case of the second case, follow the steps below:
- The first thing you should do is install this version from the PowerUtil shortcut
- Then you will have to enter Settings>Privacy and security>Analytics data

The above steps also work for use on the iPhone. What's more, the versions of PowerUtil match that of the Apple tablet. It is a good excuse to know if the information is the same as that offered to you in the 'Battery' menu of 'Settings'.
If this shortcut does not convince you, you can resort to external applications that will give you very useful information about the battery on both your iPad and your iPhone. Among them you will find Battery Life, System Status, Battery HD+ or Battery Testing. Of course, although you will find a lot of information in all of them -some even with which applications consume the most energy-, in none will you have the real state of the battery capacity.
