This is possible thanks to the creation of wireless access points. These wireless access points allow us to share the internet with any other device. However, sometimes, due to operator limitations, it is not possible.
In this article we are going to focus on the problem that some iPhones present when sharing the internet. As I have mentioned above, despite the fact that most operators sell the iPhone as free devices, which allows them to be used with any operator, on occasions, set a limitation that does not allow you to create a personal access point to share internet wirelessly.

How to fix I can't share internet from iPhone

If our iPhone comes from an operator, when we access the Settings menu, only the Mobile data option is displayed. But, if the iPhone is free, just below that menu the menu is displayed Personal access point.
If the Personal Access Point menu is not displayed, we will never be able to share the internet connection. This is because in the App Store we cannot find any application that allows us to share our iPhone's internet connection.
Fortunately, heThe solution to this problem is much simpler than it may seem initially, performing the steps that I show you below:
- First, we access until Settings.
- Within Settings, click on Mobile data and then in Mobile data network.
- Next, the personal access point information of the phone operator will be displayed.
If we are not using a SIM from that operator, we cannot share the internet connection.
- In order to share our internet connection with other devices, we must enter the data of our operator's internet connection, which is known as APN data.
This information is available by doing a simple internet search with the text «APN -NOperator's Name«.

Once we have entered the data of our operator, we must restart our device. Once we have restarted our device, the option will appear in the Settings menu. Personal access point.
All the captures that I include in this tutorial are mine, and as you can see, I have managed, by adding the APN data of my operator, to access the Personal Access Point menu, a menu that was not initially displayed as you can see in capture 1 and what if shown in screenshot 2.
Set a Wi-fi password to share the iPhone's internet connection
The first thing we must do when sharing the internet connection from our iPhone, especially when we are going to share it with other devices that are not associated with our ID is to establish a password.
In this way, if we want to stop sharing our internet connection forever, we just have to change the password to any other, a password that will be displayed in the Settings - Personal Access Point menu.
To establish a password to protect our Wi-Fi connection, we must perform the steps that I show you below:
- First, we access the settings of our device.
- Next, click on Personal Access Point.
- In the Wi-Fi password section, click to change the password that is displayed by default.
It is recommended that the Wi-Fi password be at least eight characters long and use ASCII characters. If you use other types of characters (Japanese, Chinese, Russian and other languages) other devices will not be able to connect to Internet Sharing.
In addition, it is also advisable to insert the odd number, combine uppercase and lowercase along with a punctuation mark.
How to share internet with Wi-Fi from iPhone
The first thing to keep in mind if we are going to share our mobile data with another user is that if we are connected to a Wi-Fi network, the device that will share the connection will disconnect from the Wi-Fi network, since this function does not It is a repeater of the Wi-Fi signal to which the device is connected, but it is responsible for creating a personal access point for another device to connect to the internet.
Once we are clear that our iPhone or iPad do not act as a Wi-Fi repeater, to share the internet connection, we must perform the steps that I show you below.
- We access the settings of our device.
- Next, click on Personal Access Point.
- Within the Personal Access Point menu, we activate the Allow others to connect switch.
If we want to share the internet connection of our iPhone with an iPad or Mac that are using the same Apple ID, we only have the network that our iPhone or iPad has created. No need to enter password, since this is shared in encrypted form.
If we want to share the internet connection with others non-Apple devices or with other Apple devices that are not associated with the same ID, if we must enter the password that we have previously created.
How to share internet with Bluetooth from iPhone
Although less common, Apple also allows users to share mobile data through the bluetooth connection, a connection that is much slower than the Wi-Fi connection, but which, and is used in very specific cases in which a device not a Wi-Fi connection.
The first thing we must do with our iPhone is to activate its visibility in our environment so that the device with which we are going to share the internet can find it and link. To do this, we just have to access the Bluetooth section of our device and keep the application open until both devices are recognized and associated.

How to share internet with USB from iPhone
