El iPhone 14 it won't go down in history as one of Apple's best phones. His presentation raised a lot of expectations, but from the day of its launch it was already clear that there were many errors to correct. In fact, sales have been a complete failure for the brand, and much of the blame lies with the iPhone 14 problems that have been reported.
It is true that the first weeks after the launch of a product like this there are setbacks and small details that need to be polished. But the iPhone 14 seems too much. Apple's efforts to fix the bugs and save the face of its latest smartphone don't seem to have satisfied many of its disgruntled customers.
You always have to be a little indulgent with these little bugs, but when there are so many and some of them so serious, you also have to be aware of them. Especially before deciding to buy. To make matters worse, it seems that they are the two most expensive models in the range, the iPhone 14 Pro and the iPhone 14 Pro Max, those with the most incidents.
It is also fair to say that in October 2022 Apple announced the release of the update to iOS 16.0.3, which would come to repair many of the errors that we are going to review below. CarPlay: volume too low
Another problem that drives many iPhone 14 users upside down. Apple has received numerous complaints about the phone's poor performance in connection with the CarPlay intelligent driving system. The volume is too low, which makes it impossible to make or receive a phone call while using it.
This poor sound quality occurs mostly on iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro Max. Very annoying for those who often use the different functions of their phone while driving.
Camera issues
In some models of the iPhone 14 family have been detected numerous camera related glitches, errors that make it impossible to use it to take photos and record videos normally. Complaints range from the inability of the camera to focus images to annoying vibrations due to poor stabilization settings.
In the specific case of the iPhone 14 Pro Max, sometimes the photos are blurred when using the zoom camera in a horizontal position. Other reported issues refer to strange sounds from the phone while the camera is open.
As well the app that manages the iPhone 14 Pro camera does not seem to work as it should. When trying to access it, it can take up to five seconds for the app to start. There are also annoying seconds of delay when trying to take a photo. All of this translates into quite disappointing performance.

This has been one of the most widespread iPhone 14 issues. It is given in the Pro version: when we are charging the phone via MagSafe or Lightning cable, the phone restarts on its own. This, in addition to being annoying if we are using it at the time, seems to also affect battery life.
User complaints speak of a restart every ten minutes, which is not exactly ideal for proper use of the iPhone. One possible fix for this bug would seem to be to disable background app refresh.
However, disabling background app refresh makes iPhone use less secure, since suspended apps are not refreshed.
Data migration failures
One more issue, which has also been acknowledged by Apple, concerns data migration. That is, it affects all users who exchange their old phone for this new latest model. When the time comes transfer data from one device to anotherproblems appear. Again, the models most affected by this bug are the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone Pro Max.
What could happen when we perform the data migration (either through quick start or via iCloud), is that the iPhone freezes for several minutes. The solution that Apple has provided to its dissatisfied customers with this aspect is to force a restart.
SIM card errors
And although we left a few more in the pipeline, we conclude the list with one of the iPhone 14 problems that can be more irritating: when the phone does not recognize the SIM card. In some cases the following error message “SIM not supported” appears on the screen; in others, our iPhone just crashes and forces us to restart it.
Although this is a serious issue, this error will most likely go away after updating iPhone to iOS 16.0.3.
