There is very little left for the official presentation of the Samsung Galaxy A55 and, although not all the details are yet known, there are many things that have already been leaked about the brand's latest launch. A model that comes to revolutionize the brand's mid-range with many technological advances.
We could say that the Galaxy A55 has been designed to be the top of the range of the A series, with the intention of even surpassing the sales figures of the successful Galaxy A14. All thanks to a series of characteristics that place it above average. For example, a 6,5-inch 1080p display and an aluminum frame.
Improved design and display
Although we only have the leaked images to guide us, at first glance the design of the Galaxy A55 stands out for the arrangement of the buttons in the new Key Island, a solution that is already being applied to all new models of Samsung, with a clear standardizing intention. This "island" is located on the right edge of the device, which appears highlighted. We also know that the casing is made of light aluminum, the same as the Galaxy S24, and which has IP67 certification against dust and water.
La screen The Galaxy A55 is medium in size, with 6,5 inches diagonal and a fairly high resolution, 2.340 x 1.080 pixels. The panel offers a maximum brightness of up to 1.000 nits in high brightness mode. In principle, this makes for good viewing in outdoor environments. The maximum refresh rate is 120 Hz, a guarantee of fluidity.
New processor and expandable storage

The launch of the Samsung Galaxy A55 also marks the premiere of the house's latest processor: the new eight-core Samsung Exynos 1480 SoC, with a speed of up to 2,75 GHz. This feature of the Exynos chip makes it leave behind the rest of the low-end chipsets, which generally reach a maximum of 2 GHz.
On the other hand, it should be noted that the basic version of the A55 comes with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal flash storage. As for the best equipped version, it has 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of memory.
Unlike the expensive flagship models of the Galaxy S series, in the A55 we find a MicroSD card reader installed. This allows us to expand the internal memory up to 1 TB. Other details that are also worth mentioning are the connectivity options (NFC, Bluetooth 5.3, WiFi 6) and the presence of the fingerprint reader under the surface of the screen.
Cameras: no big news
The camera equipment of the Samsung Galaxy A55 does not present major changes, betting on a configuration that has already proven its solvency in other models of the Korean brand. The main camera uses a 50 megapixel sensor, which allows you to record videos up to 4K. The f/1.8 aperture and optical image stabilizer guarantee excellent quality photos.
Along with the main lens we also find an ultra-wide-angle camera with f/2.2 aperture and a five-megapixel macro camera with f/2.4 aperture. Finally, we must highlight the capacity of the front camera, 32 megapixels.

Price and release date
Samsung has reported that the official presentation of the Galaxy A55 will be on March 11, 2024. The mobile will be Available in four different colors: navy blue, ice blue, white and purple. The sales details are indicative, that is, they have not yet been confirmed:

It is important to note that although it is not one hundred percent certain, Samsung would be considering launching a third version with 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage, although exclusively for the European market and whose possible price has not been filtered either. Hopefully this point will also be finally confirmed or ruled out during the presentation.
